Who we are

TwoCheese is an independent editorial website dedicated to helping Canadian consumers choose the right streaming device for their home. We test devices ourselves, follow manufacturer announcements, and research real-world performance so you don't have to.

We focus on streaming devices available at major Canadian retailers — with a particular focus on Visions Electronics, which carries one of the widest ranges of streaming sticks, boxes, and accessories in Canada, with competitive pricing and knowledgeable in-store staff.

Our editorial standards

Every review on TwoCheese is based on hands-on testing. We evaluate each streaming device across the following criteria:

  • Streaming quality — 4K HDR performance, buffering, and reliability
  • App ecosystem — availability of Canadian services (CBC Gem, Crave, ICI TOU.TV) and international platforms
  • Voice & smart home — Alexa, Google Assistant, and Matter integration
  • Ease of use — remote control quality, UI speed, and setup experience
  • Value for money — performance relative to Canadian retail price

Review scores are assigned independently. Commercial arrangements with retailers (including affiliate partnerships) do not influence our scores.
